Andy Forssell, Hulu's senior vice president of content, will step in as acting CEO for online video giant Hulu, when current CEO Jason Kilar steps down later this month.

"You know Andy well; he’s been a critical senior executive and has been here from the start of this great adventure," Kilar wrote in a post directed to the Hulu team. "Andy exemplifies the Hulu culture and has been central to Hulu’s journey, helping to grow this company from 2 content partners and no revenue to over 450 content partners and approximately $700 million revenue in 2012."
Kilar adds that Forssell has the Hulu board's "strong support in leading the team during this important time."

Kilar announced his departure in January. He didn't offer any details on his future plans, though his name has come up as a possible candidate for numerous top jobs in the tech industry, such as the CEO of Yahoo last year.
Chief technology officer Rich Tom is also leaving Hulu.
Prior to Hulu, Forssell had done stints at Siebel Systems and Oracle Corporation.
