Clear Channel Communications has appointed Live Nation executive chairman Irving Azoff to its board, the radio broadcaster said in a regulatory filing Friday.
Azoff replaces Kent Weldon who resigned from his board post on Monday, according to a regulatory filing.
Before Live Nation, Azoff was CEO of Ticketmaster which merged with the firm. He also was a prominent manager in the music industry for many years.
Live Nation's own board went through changes earlier this week when Barry Diller -- head of InterActive Corp., and Ticketmaster before the Live Nation merger -- resigned from his role as chairman of the board as a result of a dispute with other prominent members.
