For those keeping score at home, add another name to the list of journalists who have left the struggling Los Angeles Times -- Richard Rushfield.

Rushfield, who has served as the entertainment editor of latimes.com since 2005, will be leaving the Times for Gawker, where he will be the West Coast Editor.

Rushfield’s last day at the Times will be August 4, giving him four weeks off before he starts at Gawker August 31.

According to Gawker editor Gabe Snyder, Rushfield will also “fly the Defamer flag” as West Coast editor. Defamer, a Hollywood news and gossip site, was merged into Gawker earlier this year.
