Sony Online Entertainment has retrenched significantly, trimming 205 jobs and closing three studios. It also pulled the plug on “The Agency” so that it could devote more resources to new installments in two other massively multiplayer online game franchises, “PlanetSide” and “EverQuest.”
The Denver, Seattle and Tuscon offices will close as part of the reorganization. Before the cutbacks, the division had around 700 staffers.
