Very cute, White House.

They may have jumped on the trend a little late, but the official White House Twitter page (@whitehouse) effectively “rickrolled” its followers before the close of its Wednesday “Office Hours,” where senior White House staff answer user tweets.

“Rickrolling” is a phenomenon that took the internet by storm three years ago, in which users trick others to click on a link that leads to the music video for Rick Astley's 1987 song "Never Gonna Give You Up."

Twitter user David Wiggs (@wiggsd) wrote near the end of the office hours: "This WH correspondence briefing isn't nearly as entertaining as yesterday's. #TCOT #WHchat"

To which the White House responded: "@wiggsd Sorry to hear that. Fiscal policy is important, but can be dry sometimes. Here's something more fun: tinyurl.com/y8ufsnp #WHChat
