Big 10 Football Championship Games Coming to Fox Sports

Agreement goes in effect from 2011-16, after college football league expands to 12 teams

Big 10 football is coming to Fox.

Under the new agreement, championship games for the college league will air on the channel from 2011-16.

The inaugural Big 10 Football Championship Game will be played in primetime on Dec. 3, 2011, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The winner of that game will get a chance to play in the Rose Bowl or Bowl Championship Series National Championship Game.

The Big 10 will expand to 12 teams next season with the addition of Nebraska.

Fox has a previous relationship with the Big Ten, having helped launch a cable network to broadcast league games four years ago.
