Magazine aiming for higher crop of candidates to cover “plant cultivation and counterculture”
High Times is looking for an entry-level writer to “break into the publishing industry as a journalist,” and it appears the publication is aiming for a higher crop of candidates.
In a Columbia University School of Journalism job board listing, the magazine for weed enthusiasts is using its slightly more discreet moniker – “Trans High Corporation” – one that potheads will notice utilizes the initials “THC,” or tetrahydrocannabinol, the chemical compound in cannabis that gets you high.
Perhaps James Franco, High Times' 2008 Stoner of the Year and a student enrolled in Columbia's M.F.A. writing program, should pass along his résumé.
