The same couldn't be said for the screeching fans on both sides of Sunset Boulevard who came hoping to glimpse Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens, and James Franco -- an unusually puffy turnout for an Arclight premiere.

After losing to “Argo” writer Chris Terrio at the Writers Guild Awards Sunday night, “Silver Linings Playbook” writer-director David O. Russell still came out a winner in Hollywood.
Russell picked up a “Director of the Year” Award at the L.A., Italia Film Festival, which took place at the rechristened TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman’s).
