It isn't very often that the news media is able to catch a politician in a flat-out lie -- but that's what Stephen Colbert says happened when New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told a 4-year-old constituent that his favorite show when he was 4 was "Scooby Doo."

Politifact reported that Christie was in fact 7 years old when "Scooby Doo" first debuted.

"Christie was clearly lying when he talked about watching 'Scooby-Doo' when he was 4. And he would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling kids!" Colbert said, shaking his fist as the Politifact logo appeared on the screen.

Fox's freshman drama "The Following" got a boost in the ratings Monday as it prepares to wrap its first season, while CBS's "Rules of Engagement" dropped to a series low and NBC won the night on the strength of "The Voice," according to preliminary numbers.

NBC took a commanding first place in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic with a 3.9 rating/11 share and came in second in total viewers with 11.3 million. "The Voice" at 8 p.m. drew a 4.8/13 -- an 8 percent drop from last week, but still the night's best demo performance by far -- and had 13.9 million total viewers. "Revolution" at 10 drew even with its last original episode two weeks ago, tying a series low of 2.2/6 and drawing 6.2 million total viewers.

ABC tied Fox for second place in the ratings with a 2.1/6 and took first place in total viewers...

CNN chief national correspondent John King says the network's mistaken reporting in the Boston bombings was "embarrassing" but that "the one thing you have to do is look straight in the camera and say, 'We were wrong.'"

King spoke Tuesday on Washington, D.C., radio station WTOP. Last Wednesday, King was the first to report an arrest in the case. He was followed by The Associated Press, Fox News and the Boston Globe, which all said an arrest had occurred or was imminent. The FBI denied the reports, forcing all the news outlets to backtrack. Suspects were finally identified Thursday, and an arrest came Friday night.

King said he and another reporter had sources they believed to be reliable when they made the error Wednesday....

Aereo announced Tuesday that it will expand on May 15 to Boston, its first coverage area outside of New York City.

The expansion to Boston, where the company believes it can reach up to 4.5 million consumers, comes as it is locked in litigation with networks that say its use of their signals is stealing. Aereo, a private company, has not disclosed how many subscribers it has.

The company is a streaming service that captures live TV signals using antennae small enough to fit on a fingertip. It says it puts "tons" of antennae in data centers, and then relays the signals over the Internet to laptops, phones and tablets.

It relays ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, the CW, Univision and PBS, among other networks available by antenna, but does not relay cable channels.
