A concert by rapper Meek Mill served as the backdrop of a deadly shooting incident that left two people dead and another two injured, ABC News reports.

Police in Wallingford, Connecticut, told ABC News that the concert was coming to an end when shots were fired outside the Oakdale Theater, where Mill — real name Robert Williams — was performing..

Two men were killed in the incident, while another two were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, according to Wallingford Police Lt. Cheryl Bradley.

Bradley added that it was unclear whether the victims knew each other. The motive for the shootings was also unclear, Bradley said.

“We received a 911 call from an employee at the Oakdale Theatre … The caller reported that he was outside of the Oakdale with a victim who was shot in the leg. Our units responding determined that there were actually four victims, two with non-life-threatening injuries … two victims determined to be deceased,” Bradley told reporters. “Everything occurred outside of the Oakdale, it appeared to be near closing, the closing of the event.”

Bradley noted that police are “looking into possible leads, suspect vehicles, descriptions.”

Police did not explicitly link the shooting to the Meek Mill concert, according to ABC News.
