Megyn Kelly is coming to Go90. The Verizon-owned streaming service has ordered six 22-minute episodes of “Embeds,” a political comedy that follows five young reporters on the campaign trail, and the Fox News anchor will be an executive producer on the series.

Kelly won’t be running the show, however.

Todd Waldman, who most recently served as an executive producer for “Single by 30,” a YouTube Red original series starring Harry Shum Jr. (“Glee”), will be heading up the production.

Scott Conroy, who co-authored Sarah Palin biography “Sarah From Alaska,” and Peter Hamby, head of news at Snapchat, are the creators of “Embeds.” The two met on the campaign trail in 2008. Conroy was with CBS, Hamby with CNN — though that was a slightly more prosaic election, compared to the current one in which campaign reporters can find themselves being literally battered by the people they’re reporting on.

Conroy is leaving his job at Vice to serve as an executive producer on the series, along with Michael DeLuca and Bryan Haas. DeLuca is producing through his Michael DeLuca Productions banner.

Go90 is looking to have the first episode ready to stream by Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 8. That’s a bit of a tight time frame: Even though the election is a mere six weeks away, a cast has not been announced.

Verizon’s streaming service has flown under the radar somewhat, despite being the home of some shows with high wattage behind them, like the reality series “The Runner,” from Matt Damon and Ben Affleck‘s production company.
