Melania Trump and her son Barron are moving on up… well, sort of.

It seems the First Lady and her 11-year-old are ditching their posh Fifth Avenue digs in New York City, for the less ostentatious White House this summer, according to Fox News.

The White House did not respond to TheWrap’s request for comment. But the president’s wife is expected to settle in the nation’s capital after her son Barron finishes out the school year.

The announcement follows several reports that claimed the former model was reluctant to move into in the White House.

A “senior White House aide” told Fox News the first lady has been “directly involved in arranging the house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for the summertime move.”

Barron will be the first boy to call the White House home since John F. Kennedy Jr.

Melania Trumps has been criticized for her decision to stay in New York City, forcing tax payers to pick up the tab for the extra protection of her New York apartment. According to New York Police Department Commissioner James O’Neill it would cost anywhere between $127,000 and $146,000 a day to protect Trump Tower.

More than 540,000 people have signed a  Change.org petition demanding Melania move to the White House or pay for the security costs herself.
