Michael Richards, Gilles Marini Join Kirstie Alley Comedy ‘Giant Baby’

"Seinfeld" star Michael Richards will play the limo driver to Kirstie Alley's character, while Gilles Marini will play her chef in a possibly recurring role

Kirstie Alley, meet Kramer. "Seinfeld" alum Michael Richards has signed on for Kirstie Alley's upcoming TV Land comedy "Giant Baby," the network told TheWrap on Tuesday. Richards will play the limo driver of Alley's character, Broadway star Madison "Maddie" Banks. (Hopefully, his character handles a limo better than Kramer drove a fire truck.)

This will mark Richards' first regular network TV gig since NBC's short-lived "The Michael Richards Show," which ran for a handful of episodes in 2000.

In addition, "Brothers & Sisters" and "Dancing With the Stars" veteran Gilles Marini will guest-star, and possibly recur, on the comedy as Banks' chef.

The series will explore the chaos that falls upon Banks' life when her son Arlo, who she'd given up for adoption, shows up after his adoptive mother dies.

Alley's former "Cheers" castmate Rhea Perlman will also star on the show, as Banks' long-suffering assistant and best friend, who  encourages Maddie to form a relationship with Arlo, despite Maddie's reservations that he won't fit into her glamorous lifestyle.
