Miley Cyrus Prefers Tattoo Needles Over Doctor’s Needles in ’21 Candles: Miley’s MTV Moments’ (Video)

The singer is taking over MTV for eight hours on Saturday to celebrate her 21st birthday

Miley Cyrus is setting the record straight about her opinions on tattoos, needles and shots in new MTV special, “21 Candles: Miley’s MTV Moments.”

In 2008, a young Cyrus told a fan on “TRL” that she wasn’t sure “if she would” get a tattoo because she is “freakishly afraid of needles.” But in a clip (above) from the upcoming special produced in honor of her birthday, Cyrus comes clean to that poor young man who just wanted an honest answer.

“I was lying. I always knew I was going to get tattoos,” current tatted-up Cyrus says. “I’m actually terrified of needles … I just don’t like shots, and the doctor’s office is cold. It’s much more cozy in a tattoo parlor.”

Wish we could believe you, Miley. But we just don’t know what to believe anymore.

MTV is kicking off Cyrus’ party at noon on Saturday with the premiere of “Miley’s MTV Moments,” which will be followed by more programming hosted by Cyrus, including a re-airing of the MTV docu-film “Miley: The Movement Deluxe Edition” featuring new commentary from the birthday girl.
