Miramax titles will be available to Brazilian customers Dec. 1

Miramax and Brazilian subscription service NetMovies Entertainment, Inc. announced a multi-year licensing agreement Monday allowing NetMovies customers instant streaming of several titles from the Miramax library.

Films including “Pulp Fiction,” “The English Patient,” “City of God,” “Amelie,” “There Will Be Blood” and “Kill Bill,” will be available to NetMovies customers beginning Dec. 1. They will be available on PC, Macs, Smart TVs, Blu-Ray players, iOS and Android tablets and smartphones. They will soon be available on video game consoles as well.

“As a devoted fan of independent cinema, I could not be more excited to bring our loyal customers such classic titles as the films included in the Miramax canon. I am so happy to enter into a partnership with this company and help bring their titles to Brazilian homes. I look forward to growing this relationship even further in the future,” said Daniel Topel, NetMovies founder and CEO.

“We are very pleased that Miramax movies will now be available to the large network of customers from Brazil devoted to NetMovies’ strong platform and great service,” said Mike Lang, CEO of Miramax.  “This is another key step as we take advantage of digital channels to maximize our library around the world and bring Miramax movies to new and growing audiences, especially to such an exciting and emerging market as Brazil.”
