Mitt Romney has apparently decided that the women of "The View" are too sharp-tongued for his taste.
The Republican presidential candidate has canceled his appearance with his wife, Ann, on "The View," which was scheduled for Thursday, "View" co-host Barbara Walters said on Monday's show.
Walters did, however, say that Romney's wife would still appear on the show.

"Over the weekend, his people said that he had scheduling problems, and would not be coming on with us, nor did they think he would reschedule," Walters said. "We are sorry that we won't have Governor Romney. He can change his mind, and we hope he does. It would be our pleasure to have him on the program."
The candidate's scuttled appearance on the show was originally announced by the show's lone conservative, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, last month on the heels of a now-infamous leak from a fundraising appearance, during which Romney called the show "high-risk" and its female hosts "sharp-tongued."
"'The View' is fine, although 'The View' is high-risk, because of the five women on it, only one [Elisabeth Hasselbeck] is conservative and four are sharp-tongued and not conservative, Whoopi Goldberg in particular," Romney told supporters. "Although last time I was on the show, she said to me, 'You know what? I think I could vote for you.' And I said, 'I must've done something really wrong.'"

Goldberg later reversed her assessment, opining that Romney had "flushed his ideals down the drain" by reversing his positions on abortion and health care.
"I once had a great deal of respect for you and many of ur stances. You believed like Teddy Kennedy in healthcare and a woman's right to choose and u seemed to actually care about ur people," Goldberg wrote to Romney via a Twitter screed. "That was the man I said was someone worth voting for."
Apparently, appearing on "The View" is another issue that Romney wavers on.
