More Rolling Stones Dirty Laundry? HBO to Air Documentary Nov. 15

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the rest of the gang will also get a theatrical release in this new documentary from Brett Morgen

From Keith Richards’ tell-all book to assorted concert documentaries, fans of the Rolling Stones may feel they’ve learned it all about their favorite band.

Not so fast. "Crossfire Hurricane," a new documentary about the British supergroup's rise to prominence, will debut on HBO Nov. 15.

And there will be plenty of dirt. Mick, Keith and the rest of the gang from their teenage years to their apex of fame. Packed clubs, drug use, friendship and screaming women all serve as a backdrop to the rise of one of the most successful bands in music history.

Brett Morgen ("The Kids Stays in the Picture," "30 for 30," "Say It Loud: A Celebration of Black Music in America") directs.

“’Crossfire Hurricane’ invites the audience to experience firsthand the Stones' nearly mythical journey from outsiders to rock and roll royalty,” Morgen said in a statement. “This is not an academic history lesson. ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ allows the viewer to experience the Stones' journey from a unique vantage point. It's an aural and visual roller coaster ride.”

The film will premiere in the U.S. on the pay cable channel and receive a theatrical release in England. Eagle Rock Entertainment is distributing the film in London, while Tremelo Productions and Milwood Films produced it.

The film's title comes from “Jumping Jack Flash,” the Stones' 1968 single later released on the album “Through the Past, Darkly (Big Hits Vol.2).”
