‘Morning Joe’ Slams Sean Spicer: ‘Like an Old Soviet Propagandist’ (Video)

“You have White House people going out and actually quoting something that was proven to be a falsehood,” Joe Scarborough says

“Morning Joe’ co-host Joe Scarborough slammed White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Tuesday morning, comparing him to an “old Soviet Propagandist.”

The MSNBC morning show discussed Spicer’s off-camera briefing on Monday when he stumbled through talking points regarding the now-infamous meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer. Spicer refused to get into specifics about the meeting, resulting in Scarborough comparing him to a Soviet propagandist.

“Sean Spicer yesterday… you’ll remember what we used to hear from the old Soviet Union spokespeople. They would come out and say things that had already been disproven, that the whole world knew had been disproven. And when Sean Spicer came out yesterday and said it’s just about adoptions, that a lie which the president signed off on on Air Force One. It was proven to be a falsehood over a week ago and everyone in Washington, everyone in America knows it,” Scarborough said.

Scarborough continued: “Like an old Soviet Propagandist, you have White House people going out and actually quoting something that was proven to be a falsehood eight, nine, ten days ago.”

On Monday, Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano said that Trump Jr.’s meeting to find dirt on Hillary Clinton merits a criminal investigation. Trump Jr. and White House surrogates have repeatedly claimed that the president’s eldest son didn’t receive any useful information a result of the meeting.

Trump has defended his son, saying that most politicians would have taken the meeting.
