Chance the Rapper summed up Sunday perfectly, tweeting “Every day should be Mother’s Day.” He’s got that right, as the scores of celebs who took to social media to toast the maternal ladies in their lives will agree.

While Common acknowledged “all the women that help raise children,” John Legend saluted not only his mother but also his wife and first-time mom Chrissy Teigen.

Others got added their own unique touch to their messages of gratitude, whether it be Elton John’s “So happy we’re back in touch,” Alicia Keys’ mini homemade movie or Cher’s emoji-ridden tweet saying, “My Mother, She Taught Me ‘DIFFERENT’ Is Another Word 4 ‘SPECIAL.’”
