Show joins “Mistresses” and “Rookie Blue” on renewal list
ABC has renewed “Motive” for a second season, to air next summer.
The series from “Dexter” and “The Mentalist” veteran Daniel Cerone focuses not on who committed a crime, but why. (And okay, then it focuses again on the who, because these shows are more satisfying when someone gets caught.)
The Canadian hit debuted north of the border on the CTV network in February, and came to ABC over the summer.
“Motive” joins two other ABC series in the renewal column: “Mistresses” and “Rookie Blue” were also recently renewed.
