There was nothing in the international marketplace to knock “Alice in Wonderland” from its No. 1 spot – and lo, nothing did.

With another $47 million from the foreign circuit over the weekend (and $34.5 million domestically), Disney’s 3D fantasy crossed the $500 million mark worldwide, and now stands at $565.8 million.

And “Alice” has yet to bow in some major markets, including France and China, meaning it’s likely to continue its No. 1 run for at least another week.

Coming in second was Martin Scorsese's “Shutter Island,” which took $15.1 million in 44 territories to cross the $100 million mark worldwide, standing at $106.5 million.

“Avatar,” meanwhile, was third. The James Cameron space opera continues creeping toward the $2 billion worldwide mark, standing at $1.93 billion after a $13 million weekend in its 14th week. It became the world-record holder when it passed “Titanic,” which stands at $1.24 billion.

“How to Train Your Dragon” opened in Russia, Romania and the Ukraine for $8.1 million, good for fourth for the DreamWorks Animation film, distributed internationally by Paramount. Rounding out the top five was Sony’s “The Bounty Hunter,” which took $8 million in eight markets.
