Anchor Bay Flms has picked up distribution rights to indie comedy "Meet Monica Velour," starring Kim Cattrall, Brian Dennehy and Dustin Ingram, TheWrap has confirmed.
Cattrall stars as a former porn star turned trailer park housewife.
The movie was written and directed by Keith Bearden and produced by Gilbert Films. It debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, screened in the Seattle Film Festival and this week, in the Deauville American FIlm Festival.
"It scared me to play a character who is so hopeless, because most of the characters I play are very strong, independent women who are about changing their situations," Cattrall told TheWrap in the spring, upon the film's premiere.
The deal was brokered by the Film Sales Company.
