Clint Eastwood will add "commander of the French Legion of Honor" to his many awards and accolades on Friday in a ceremony in Paris presided by French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

The 79-year-old actor, composer and filmmaker will receive one of the country's greatest honors -- and with the title of "commander," above those traditionally given to foreign directors and beloved talent, namely the titles of "knight" or "officer."
