"Perks of Being a Wallflower" features Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Paul Rudd and Kate Walsh in high school tale
Emma Watson leads a band of “misfit toys” in the latest trailer for “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” which debuted before last night’s MTV Movie Awards.
At those awards, Watson took home the golden popcorn for “Best Cast” thanks to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II.” In this next film, due out Sept. 14, she is joined by Ezra Miller, Logan Lerman, Paul Rudd and Kate Walsh.
Sam (Watson) and Patrick (Miller) befriend Charlie (Lerman), the new kid at a high school who struggles to find his fit.
Sam and Patrick accept Charlie into their tight-knit circle of friends, though the trailer also teases romance between Sam and Charlie.
Stephen Chbosky, who wrote the novel, both adapted it for the big screen and directed it.
