The Final Numbers: Breaking Down Lionsgate's Board Vote

The results were in on Tuesday, but Lionsgate has released the final vote tally for its board of directors election this week.

It appears Carl Icahn and his slate of renegade investors. Icahn voted 44.7 million shares of his own, which meant that he received less than nine million independent votes for his nominees. Even big names such as former Overture CEO Chris McGurk, only received 1.5 million shares over and above Icahn's own 44.7 million.

As previously reported, all twelve of the company’s director nominees were elected despite the Icahn play including Norman Bacal, Michael Burns, Arthur Evrensel, Jon Feltheimer, Frank Giustra, Morley Koffman, Harald Ludwig, G. Scott Paterson, Mark H. Rachesky, Daryl Simm, Hardwick Simmons and Phyllis Yaffe.

With 93.92% of the total eligible shares voted, the results as a percentage of shares voted on directors are as follows:
