The pair were married Saturday in the small French town of Mazan, the mayor says
Oscar-nominated actress Keira Knightley has tied the knot with rocker James Righton in a small wedding ceremony in southern France, the town's mayor said.
Aime Navello said on Sunday that he married them at the Mazan town hall on Saturday, according to the Associated Press. Navello read the service in French and the couple responded in French and English with a handful of friends in attendance.
Righton is keyboard player for the rock group Klaxons. He and Knightley became engaged a year ago.
Knightley was nominated for an Oscar for playing Elizabeth Bennet in an adaptation of Jane Austen‘s “Pride and Prejudice.” She starred in the first three “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies after her breakout turn as a soccer-playing teenager in "Bend It Like Beckham."
