Lionsgate confirmed Tuesday that its Gary Ross-directed adaptation of the Suzanne Collins best-seller "Hunger Games" will debut on March 23, 2012.
The story is set in a post-apocalyptic future, where teenagers are pitted against one-another in gladiator-like contests.
Nina Jacobson is producing the project.
