"Curb Your Enthusiasm's" Cheryl Hines makes her feature directing debut with "Serious Moonlight" from Magnolia Pictures.

With a script by Adrienne Shelly ("Waitress"), the film will debut via video-on-demand on Nov. 6, followed by a theatrical release starting Dec. 4.

In the romantic comedy, high-powered lawyer Louise arrives at her family's country house expecting a romantic getaway with her husband (Timothy Hutton). Unfortunately, he's expecting his much younger girlfriend (Kristen Bell). In a sort of "Misery" meets "The Ref" scenario, Louise takes her husband hostage, the gardener (Justin Long) decides to burglarize the house, and wacky complications ensue.
