MGM has signed a long-term distribution agreement with Forum Film covering several Eastern European and Middle Eastern countries, the companies announced on Thursday.

The deal includes both theatrical and DVD and Blu-ray rights, and includes Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Israel

Forum is the distribution arm of Cinema City International NV (CCI).  For certain titles, Forum will also cover the Czech Republic and Slovakia for the studio.

The pact includes new releases over a five-year period, but the biggest prize for Forum are the rights to the upcoming “Hobbit” films (set for release in 2012 and 2013) and “Bond 23” (November 9, 2012).

MGM and Forum said they will likely partner to distribute  “Bond 24."
