UPDATE, July 2, 8:09 a.m.: Looks like the dispute between Nicolas Cage and producers of "Shadow of the Vampire" has been resolved.
Earlier this week, TheWrap reported that the "Ghost Rider" star was being sued for breach of contract by Paul Brooks and Early Bird Productions, based on court papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. According to a Cage representative, the matter "has been resolved privately and amicably between the parties and therefore no legal action is being pursued.”
Nicolas Cage's financial woes might be getting that much worse.
The "Ghost Rider" star and high-profile IRS target is being sued for breach of contract, according to court papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday and obtained by TheWrap.

The suit also alleges that "additional amounts are owed to the plaintiff," and that "as a direct and proximate result of defendants' failure to pay sums owed, plaintiff has suffered monetary damages."
The plaintiff is seeking unspecified damages "to be determined at trial," plus pre-judgment interest.
Cage's attorney had no comment for TheWrap on the lawsuit.
