Kenny Ortega has lost the gig directing a remake of "Footloose" because of differences with Paramount Pictures on tone and budget, Variety reported on Sunday.
The move comes days before the opening of the Ortega-directed Michael Jackson concert film “This is It,” which is expected to be huge. The studio is expected to start looking for a director on Monday.
