Christopher Schwarzenegger has been hospitalized after a boogie boarding accident, TheWrap has confirmed.

The 13-year-old son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver was  in the intensive care unit at a Los Angeles hospital for several days.

He broke several bones and is being treated for a collapsed lung. The good news is that he is expected to make a full recovery.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Shriver and the rest of their three children have rallied around Christopher while he recovers, an individual close to the family tells TheWrap.

The news hits the day after an attorney for Arnold Schwarzenegger filed a request to suspend court-ordered spousal support to Shriver. The couple split up in May after 25 years of marriage. It was later revealed that the former California governor had fathered a child with the family’s housekeeper.

The couple is expected to reach an out-of-court settlement in their divorce case. Arnold Schwarzenegger is seeking joint custody of Christopher and his 17-year-old brother Patrick.

TMZ  broke the news of the accident.
