Sierra Pictures has acquired the international sales rights to Darius Films’ "A Beginner's Guide to Endings," the studio announced on Wednesday. The comedy will star Harvey Keitel, JK Simmons, Scott Caan, and Jason Jones. Jonathan Sobol who wrote the script will also direct.
Filming is expected to be completed by this summer with a targeted premier at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2010. Sierra will begin selling distribution rights to comedy in Cannes in May.
In the movie, following the untimely death of their hard-living, gambling father, three sons discover that one of his many schemes has doomed each of them into an early grave. With little time left, the three boys set out to reverse a lifetime of misdeeds in one day.
