Image Entertainment announced Tuesday that it has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to "The Resident," a Hammer Films production starring Hilary Swank.
Directed by Antti Jokinen and co-starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Christopher Lee and Lee Pace, the film will be released theatrically in spring 2011, according to Chatsworth, Calif.-based Image, which specializes in DVD distribution.
"The Resident" stars Swank as a recently separated Brooklynite, dealing with the fact that she's not entirely alone in her new apartment.
