Warner Bros. has confirmed that its DC-comics inspired “Green Lantern” will debut in 3D on June 17, 2011.
Directed by Martin Campbell, the film is set to star Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins and Mark Strong.
TV writer Greg Berlanti (“Dawson’s Creek,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “Dirty Sexy Money”) penned the script, along with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green.
Production of the "Green Lantern" will start later this month.
Warner also confirmed that its upcoming film from "300" director Zack Snyder, "Sucker Punch," will debut March 25, 2011. That film will also launch in 3D. It is currently in post-production.
