In a world of sound bites and quick sells, a unique movie poster makes you stop and look twice. From E.T. cycling to the moon to Jaws thrashing out of the water, a great poster can capture the imagination and create a Hollywood icon.
So why do so many of them look the same?
Although movie studios typically drop $100,000 per poster, they often fall prey to formulas and “I’ll have what she’s having” designs. Keep an eye out for these trends next time you hit the multiplex.
