The scene at Friday night’s Lotus launch suggested that in an alternate universe, the Baldwin brothers could have been automotive dynasty like Cal Worthington instead of a dramatic band of brothers.
On Friday, Alec, Billy, Daniel, Stephen (and even Stephen’s daughter Alaia) gathered at a private residence for the launch event of five new Lotus sports cars. The luxury Brit brand donated an “Evora” to the family’s foundation to support mother Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, while showing off the new wheels ahead of this week’s L.A .Auto Show.
Those who didn’t get a new car at least got a surprise with Harry & David Moose Munch waiting in their cars at valet.
Party regulars Michelle Rodriguez , Chord Overstreet (“Glee”) and Taryn Manning were joined by Demi Moore and the increasingly ubiquitous Olivia Munn.
The next morning, pregnant Hollywood came out for the March of Dimes Foundation’s annual Celebration of Babies at the Four Seasons. The “Stork Club” is the organization’s select group of industry personalities lending their starpower and pregnancies to a cause. "ET’s" Samantha Harris led the charge for Premature Awareness Month this year, bringing out Sarah Chalke, Joey Lawrence, and hoopster Lisa Leslie to follow in the footsteps of iconic March of Dimes talent ambassadors like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, and Frank Sinatra. Destination Maternity smartly sponsored the annual luncheon.
Mandeville Films and the producers of the Mark Wahlberg awards hopeful “The Fighter” hosted an intimate fight-night party at producer David Hoberman’s Mandeville Canyon spread during Saturday night’s Manny Pacquiao boxing match. A heavy media crowd, including THR publisher Lori Burgess, Variety Executive Editor Steve Gaydos and social captain for the evening Ross Johnson (PMK-BNC) took in Pacquiao’s bloody destruction of Antonio Margarito over some Tres L.A. Gossip orbits collided as the new-in-town Richard Johnson (former king of “Page Six,” now launching a new outlet with News Corp.) hung out with Mike Walker, the National Enquirer’s main-man and weekly Howard Stern contributor. Environmentalist/documentarian/drummer Adrien Grenier, his band “The Honey Brothers” and Jeff Goldblum each took the stage to celebrate Oceana’s sustained efforts to save the oceans at the group’s benefit, one of the final events at this year’s Esquire House. Bryan Cranston, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Nicollette Sheridan, and Sam Trammell all got eyes on the $18.9M bachelor pad before it closes its doors with the Oxfam benefit this Thursday.
Over at Raleigh Studios, Tatum O’Neal and Jimmy Smits hit the Annual Dream Awards.
