We're not worried anymore about "The Beaver."
Mel Gibson isn't making any friends in Hollwood at the moment — the guys on "The Hangover" didn't want to be seen with him — but this little film about a guy whose therapy is a running dialogue with a hand-puppet actually looks kind of poignant and touching.
(Interesting to note that the beaver takes on Mel's native accent, while his character is an American. We always wondered how he switched back and forth like that.)
