Lindsay Lohan is a wanted woman again … kind of.
After failing at least one recent drug test, the Machete actress' probation has been revoked and a bench warrant issued for her arrest.
But don't get too excited about seeing LiLo in handcuffs or behind bars in the next few days: Judge Elden Fox has decided Lohan will not be taken into custody before a hearing scheduled in Beverly Hills for September 24, court officials say.
Judge Fox took over the case in early August after Judge Marsha Revel recused herself following some concerns about her conduct from the Los Angeles’ District Attorney’s office.
On Aug. 25, one day after Lohan got out of what looked like a successful stint in rehab at UCLA, she was ordered to take two random drug tests per week. Failure to comply or a negative result could, Judge Fox warned Lindsay's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley at the time, see the 24-year old wild child back in jail for 30 days.
Attempts to reach Lindsay Lohan's lawyers by TheWrap were not returned immediately. However, an individual close to the Lohan camp told TheWrap that the actress has been telling friends and family that she expects to be put back in jail. “She knows she’s f—ked up big time,” the individual said, “and this new judge is going to be p—ed.”
Not long after reports of the negative result, allegedly for cocaine and another substance, started spreading on Sept 17, Lohan admitted on Twitter that "regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test.”
The failed drug test poses another problem for Lohan – a professional one for the once acclaimed actress. Chris Hanely, the producer of “Inferno,” the Linda Lovelace biopic Lohan is scheduled to star in, told E! News Monday that if filming is to go ahead LiLo will likely have to sign a new acting services agreement that “would include being 100 % sober.” And that’s if Judge Fox doesn’t throw Lohan in jail or restrict her travel which would render any filming in Louisiana, where “Inferno” is scheduled to shot, a non-starter.
As a sigh of what Hollywood hemlock she has become, “Inferno” is the only project Lindsay Lohan has firmly lined up right now.
