Ryan Reynolds, Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde star in David Dobkin's body-switching movie
Leslie Mann will be joining Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman in Universal's comedy "The Change-Up," the studio has announced.
Mann has been cast as the film's female lead, while "House" star Olivia Wilde will play Bateman's love interest.
The story follows a family man who accidentally swaps bodies with his best friend, who is a single, slacker actor. Their windows into each others' lives gives them a new appreciation for their own.
David Dobkin is directing from a script by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore ("The Hangover"). Neal Moritz is producing.
Deal Central previously professed its affection for Mann when she signed on to star in another Universal comedy, "Business Trip," which her husband Judd Apatow will produce. In summation, she's a really talented comedic actress with great timing, and I think she'll fit in well with former sitcom stars Reynolds and Bateman.
Mann will soon be seen in Elgin James' coming-of-age drama "Goodnight Moon." She also voices one of the characters in the upcoming animated film "Rio," which also boasts Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway amongst its voice cast.
Universal is scheduled to release "The Change-Up" in August 2011.
Mann is represented by CAA, while WME represents Wilde.
