'Conviction' Opens Wrap Screening Series Oct. 27

TheWrap's first film of the 2010-2011 Screening Series debuts on Wednesday, October 27 at the Arclight Theater in Sherman Oaks.

Betty Anne Waters, played by Hilary Swank, is a high school dropout who spent nearly two decades working as a single mother while putting herself through law school, tirelessly trying to beat the system and overturn her brother's unjust murder conviction. Directed by Tony Goldwyn.

Screening will be followed by a Q&A with Hilary Swank, Minnie Driver and Juliette Lewis.

Description

TheWrap's 2nd annual Screening Series features 12 of the most significant films of 2010, and will screen at the Arclight Sherman Oaks through December 2010, followed by question-and-answer sessions with the film's talent. The films are open to members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the DGA, PGA and WGA members, and to subscribers to TheWrap's daily email newsletter, First Take.
