Caldwell will oversee North American theatrical sales; Forman will be in charge of international theatrical sales
Walt Disney Pictures has promoted distribution executives Ken Caldwell and Jeff Forman, the company announced Monday.
Caldwell, who spent the past dozen years as VP sales, will become senior VP of theatrical sales for North America. Forman has been senior VP, sales and marketing for Asia Pacific and Sony joint ventures in that region. He becomes senior VP of theatrical sales for international.
Caldwell has worked in the industry for 30 years, and has spent the past 25 years at Disney. He started at Disney as branch manager of the Motion Pictures Distribution Group and has been VP of sales overseeing the Southeast, the Midwest and, most recently, the Eastern region of the U.S.
Forman began at Disney as director of distribution in 1991. He has opened all 12 of Disney's offices in Asia Pacific and, according to the company, "has driven a region that has more than half the world's population (including some of the fastest-growing economies) and helped with the entry into the film business of developing markets like India, China and Vietnam."
In January, worldwide theatrical distribution president Chuck Viane announced his retirement.
