Zod (Michael Shannon) warns humans of consequences if Superman (Henry Cavill) doesn't turn himself over
"Man of Steel" viral video marketing, featuring Kryptonian tough guy General Zod demanding Superman's surrender, may explain why the DC superhero is in handcuffs in other promotional materials.
The new video consists of a grainy Zod (Michael Shannon) addressing the earthlings who have been harboring one of his citizens — a heroic man few know to be Kal-El (Henry Cavill) from the planet Krypton.
"I request that you return this individual to my custody," Zod says. "To Kal-El, I say this: Surrender within 24 hours or watch this world suffer the consequences."
Could this threat be a bound Superman being led by armed guards in both posters and trailers for Zack Snyder's upcoming film?
