Ian McShane has joined New Line's big-budget fairy tale adaptation "Jack the Giant Killer," TheWrap has confirmed.
The "Deadwood" star will bring his signature intensity to the part of King Brahmwell. In the Bryan Singer film, Brahmwell's daughter (Eleanor Tomlinson) is kidnapped by giants setting the stage for Jack (Nicholas Hoult) to rescue her.
Rounding out the cast are Stanley Tucci and Bill Nighy. Shooting on the 3D film begins on March 28.
