Josh McLaughlin, formerly executive VP at Peter Chernin Entertainment, joins Focus as a senior VP
Josh McLaughlin, who had been executive VP at Chernin Entertainment, joined Focus Features as senior VP production, on Friday, Focus said.
He will be based in Focus' Los Angeles offices and report to Jeb Brody, the company's president of production.
He spent nearly two years at Chernin Entertainment. Before that, he was executive VP and co-head of the motion picture division at the Mark Gordon Co.
“Josh is a gifted executive who not only has extensive relationships within the creative community — particularly with directors and writers — but who also has a knack for finding and developing smart material," Brody said in a statement. "He will be a great addition to the Focus team.”
McLaughlin produced the 2007 movie "Talk to Me" and the 2009 offering "12 Rounds."
