Matt LucasUniversal's Judd Apatow-produced comedy "Bridesmaids" has added several cast members, including Matt Lucas (left), most recently seen as Tweedledee and Tweedledum in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland."

Ellie Kemper ("The Office"), Jill Clayburgh ("Dirty Sexy Money"), Chris O’Dowd ("Dinner for Schmucks"), Melissa McCarthy ("The Backup Plan") and Wendi McLendon-Covey ("Reno 911") also have joined the cast.

"Bridesmaids" stars Kristen Wiig, Rose Byrne and Maya Rudolph.

Wiig plays a maid of honor unwantingly competing for that role with her best friend's bridesmaids. She co-wrote the script with Annie Mumolo; they also are co-producers.

Paul Feig, who collaborated with Apatow on "Freaks and Geeks," directs and is executive producer. Apatow produces, through his Apatow Productions banner, with Barry Mendel. Clayton Townsend also is a producer.
