In followup to Nicolas Winding Refn's "Drive," Gosling takes a beating
Ryan Gosling really wants to shake that pretty-boy reputation.
In the trailer for "Only God Forgives," his second collaboration with "Drive" director Nicolas Winding Refn, he braces for a serious beating. From the looks of a promo image (left), he gets one.
Gosling stars as an exiled son of a crime lord, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, who runs a Thai boxing club, a front for a drug business. After his brother is killed by a retired cop, who calls himself The Angel of Vengeance, Gosling is ordered to seek revenge. It ends up costing him dearly.
No release date has been set for the film.
