The drama will be Steven Soderbergh's final theatrical release before taking a hiatus from filmmaking
A new trailer for "Side Effects," Steven Soderbergh's final theatrical film before his planned hiatus, promises Channing Tatum, Rooney Mara and Jude Law in a prescription-drug fueled love triangle.
Written by Scott Z. Burns ("Contagion"), the drama follows a woman taking pills to treat anxiety stemming from her husband's release from prison. Unfortunately, the drug has some unintended side effects.
Apparently, one is murder. Another appears to be an inappropriate attraction to her psychiatrist — both are delicious ingredients for any psychological thriller.
"Side Effects" (previously titled "Bitter Pill") hits theaters on Feb. 8. Soderbergh's last project (for now), "Behind the Candelabra," will air on HBO later this year.
