"Star Wars" video previews what the saga would look like with J.J. Abrams' signature lens flare
Want an early preview of J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars"?
The Internet is happy to help. A proud owner of Adobe After Effects saw the countless tweets about how Abrams would inevitably give the saga his oft-criticized "lens flare" treatment, and got to work.
We get it, "Star Wars" fans. You don't want the next film in the franchise to look like "Super 8" or "Star Trek." If Abrams' has read any of the comments on stories reporting he's been hired to continue George Lucas' vision, he probably gets it, too.
But let's be honest. Disney is dangling candy in front of a baby, here.
Asking Abrams to abstain from using one of his favorite visual effects in a movie with lightsabers is like asking Quentin Tarantino to make a movie without the N-word.
