Tribeca Film Makes DVD Deal With New Video

Tribeca Enterprises, the New York-based media company that stages the Tribeca Film Festival and its distribution initiative Tribeca Film, has made a deal for independent film and television distributor New Video to be the DVD distributor for its films.

New Video will launch the Tribeca Film home video label in October with the documentary “The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia” and the comedy “The Infidel.” It will release an additional one to two titles per month from the Tribeca Films catalog, which currently consists of 12 films that are now available on video-on-demand in 40 million U.S. homes.

Wild and Wonderful Whites of West VirginiaSubsequent releases will include the animated film “Metropia” (November); the comedies “The Trotsky” and “The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle” (December); the rock biopic “sex & drugs & rock & roll” and the romantic comedy “My Last Five Girlfriends” (January); the documentary “Climate of Change” and the Indian film “Road, Movie” (February); and the Swedish comedy “The Swimsuit Issue” (March).
